About
The models of information as a phenomenon or object are based in the understanding of how the social relations work. Economic analysts forecast Brazil among the biggest economies in the 21st century, the BRIC. In this perspective, the aim of this research project is identifying a community of Social Scientists researchers which subject is Brazil. In fact, research financial sources and interest does not occur necessarily exclusive from Brazilians or Brazil, but could be from anybody or anywhere within the viewpoint of a worldwide economic strategy focused on the economic value of information. Aiming at reaching worldwide range of scientific research on Brazil as Social Science subject, the information is captured from three databases: Scientific Electronic Library Online, Social Science Citation Index, and Scopus. Information about foreign investments in Brazil is captured from the Central Bank of Brazil. It is intended to use the Sociology of Science to analyze the aspects met in the results of this investigation. I plan use as tools descriptive statistics, Salton’s Index, Activity Index, and hierarchical models.
